The season of sunshine is upon us! Even if June started out as Juneuary, it’s time to revel in the warm air and long days that we pine for all year.

You can celebrate summer by immersing yourself in a favorite hobby or learning something that broadens your skills or perspective. If you’re a lover of the arts, you are in luck! We are introducing some especially interesting new classes and excellent instructors. If language is your thing, or you are getting ready to travel, join us for a language class.

Ceramics: Pottery Wheel Basics

Have you ever wanted to make unique and useful cups and bowls from clay? Enjoy an engaging hands-on introduction to using a pottery wheel in a local ceramics studio! Meet NEW Instructor: Gabe Virgen, a Capitol Hill artist.     

The Magic of Shakespeare 

Dig into Shakespeare’s world along with the literary tools and techniques this wizard used. Meet NEW Instructor: GregRobin Smith, a writer, actor, Renaissance Faire performer, and musician.     

Plein Air Painting 

Immerse yourself in the exhilarating practice of painting outdoors in this mobile workshop held at a variety of Seattle's fabulous parks and venues. Taught by Georgetta Gancarz.

Fashion Illustration

Express your creativity through fashion illustration! Learn to draw the fashion figure and clothing accurately in the Seattle Apparel Design Department. Taught by Philip Estrada     

Wood Carving: 3D Art

Learn all of the basic steps to carve a small animal or character from a small block of wood. Learn from Art Instructor Saman Shojaei.   

Watercolor Landscapes

Elevate your watercolor painting skills and explore the beauty and challenges of painting landscapes in this captivating hands-on intermediate class. Taught by Yulia Chubotin.

Intro to Navigation with the Navionics App 

Recreational boaters, learn how to use the popular Navionics App for both guiding your route, and monitoring your boat at anchor. Taught by Margaret Pommert.

Stained Glass Art

Create your own dazzlingly colorful stained glass art with step-by-step instruction. Taught by Georgetta Gancarz.
