About Us
Education Reimagined
Continuing Education at Seattle Central College offers classes for the public in hobbies, interests, and job skills. Classes do not earn college credit, though some classes offer professional certificates or prepare students for professional certification exams. Registration for classes is quick and you do not have to be an enrolled student of the College.
Our mission is to provide high quality, relevant and accessible education, designed to meet the evolving needs of our community.
Subjects include: languages & travel, art & photography, music & dance, boating, woodworking & home repair, wellness, writing, and our Broadway Hill Club for seniors.
Job skills and career development classes include: business & project management, marketing & communication, computer technology, healthcare, legal, teaching, the trades and medical cannabis.
Instructors are experts in their fields and offer relevant real-world experience.
We are part of Seattle Central College's main campus on Capitol Hill -- one of the city's most vibrant, creative and accessible neighborhoods, just minutes from downtown and 1-2 blocks from light rail and several bus lines. Classes are also offered at satellite locations, including the Wood Technology Center and Seattle Maritime Academy. Many classes are available in an online format, offering the convenience and flexibility of learning remotely.
The College is located on the traditional land of the first people of Seattle: the Coast Salish, Duwamish, Suquamish, Tulalip and Muckleshoot, past and present. We honor them with our acknowledgement, gratitude, and commitment to ongoing education.
As a part of Seattle Central College, Continuing Education shares the school's vision to create a learning environment that is accessible, diverse, responsive, and innovative. We feel fortunate to be able to use the College's facilities and resources for community members.
