Class Overview

Do you play a bowed stringed instrument? Get better sound quality by taking this class!  Explore techniques to get proper sound production on your bowed stringed instruments -- primarily violin, viola, cello and bass. Learn about the concepts involved and how the mechanics of your instrument function. Use this information and experience to improve your technique and get beautiful sound quality.  Focus on how to balance your hands, fingers, and arm weight in order to achieve a pain-free, fluid, and intuitive approach. Avoid the common frustrations and pitfalls that beginning to intermediate string players often encounter. Discover how you can take full advantage of the natural mechanics of your instrument to gain ease while creating excellent sound from your instrument. 

Supplies Needed

Ownership of a bow and stringed instrument is recommended, but not necessary. Passive observation is also welcome.
