Svetlana Sohoni

Svetlana is a ceramic artist and designer working and teaching from her studios in Belltown and in Capitol Hill. She received her ceramic education from Seattle University. 

Svetlana has taught hand-building and wheel-throwing pottery at community spaces all around Seattle. She says “I am passionate about the elements of ceramics that combine artistry with functionality.” These days, Svetlana is exploring new techniques and materials to push the boundaries of what functional art can be. Her work has been featured in New York City as well as Seattle.

Svetlana’s teaching style is hands-on, encouraging creative exploration and experimentation with an emphasis on inclusivity in the workspace. Her teaching environment fosters a supportive and inspiring space for her students.
