Class Overview
Experience the joy of working with clay! This class welcomes people with no experience to get started making simple functional items by hand.
Explore the basics of hand-building and the skills necessary to create small functional wares. Over eight weeks, you’ll learn the entire ceramic process from raw clay through building, glazing and finishing food-safe unique ceramic wares.
Learn slab and coil building to make vases, mugs, jars, and more! The instructor will cover the glaze process and how chemistry plays a role in making pottery food safe.
