Spanish Language Image - Continuing Education at Seattle Central College

Class Overview

Explore classic literature and Latin American culture while improving your reading and speaking skills. We will read five classic selections of literature, and discuss them in class. This will help you improve your Spanish reading comprehension, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar.  Gain vocabulary as you encounter new words found in literature, and by discussing the material and sharing your opinions about it. You will not only improve your language skills but also gain deeper insights into Latin American and Spanish literature, history, and traditions. All readings and discussions will be in Spanish.  The interactive nature of a book club, with lively discussions, creative activities, and opportunities for cultural exploration, will make learning enjoyable and dynamic. Plus, being part of a community of like-minded individuals passionate about Spanish will create a supportive environment that fosters growth. It’s a great way to challenge yourself, make new connections, and have a memorable experience while enhancing your Spanish proficiency!
