Patricia Lezama
"iHola! Me llamo Patricia Lezama, a Spanish language instructor born and raised in Colombia." Patricia received a Bachelor’s in Education from National Pedagogical University and a Master’s in Literature from Pontifical Xavierian University in Bogotá, Colombia.
After moving to the U.S. in 2007, Patricia lived in Seattle before settling in California in 2019. She has taught Spanish in diverse settings, including Montessori schools, immersion programs, K-12, and adult education at Bellevue College and South Seattle College.
In addition to teaching, Patricia is a writer, dancer, and naturalist craft maker who loves hiking and traveling. She explains, "I believe in engaging all the senses for deeper learning, and I bring this sense of exploration into my classes, helping students connect with language in a creative and encompassing way."
Patricia's Teaching Style
Patricia's classes focus on full language immersion, combining visual aids, group work, and interactive methods to enhance speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in a dynamic and engaging environment. She describes her teaching style like this: "I believe language learning is most effective when it's fun and aligned with students’ personal interests, allowing for natural growth."
Patricia respects each student’s pace and learning style and encourages ongoing communication and practice beyond the classroom.
