Class Overview
Explore texture in this hands-on workshop! Create unique art projects using a variety of materials and techniques including: images, paper, paste, paint, and stencils.
Using printed images, learn how to build 3D textures with flexible modeling paste, decoupage, and rice paper techniques. Enhance the art with acrylic painting, and add intricate designs through stenciling.
By the end of the class, you will have developed skills in blending textures, imagery, and color to create dynamic mixed media pieces. Perfect for all skill levels!
Supplies Needed
You will work on two projects, one on canvas and one on a wood board. The instructor will provide the canvas, wood board and some other materials. Please bring the following items to class:
- Palette paper (such as a Paper Palette Pad)
- Acrylic paint (such as an Acrylic Paint Set)
- Spreader/scraper set (such as a Scraper Tools Set)
- Palette knife (such as a Stainless Steel Palette Knife)
