Trey's Teaching Style & Approach

How do you present material to students?
I assume that students come ready to learn and share at the same time. Course material and topic is always enriched with the stories and experience students bring to the classroom.

In course materials I try to always provide additional resource material and references that students can dive into on a much deeper level based on their individual interests and passions.

How do you interact / work with students?
I enjoy getting to know our students who are the most diverse group I have ever worked with.

We have professionals, patients, growers, patient providers, academics, etc. Everyone brings a different angle and history but we all have an interest in the same thing. Cannabis is the thing we all have in common and this leads to great class discussions and questions.

We have helped many students to connect with job opportunities after they have completed their coursework. It is always rewarding to later meet a student in person, working in the very job or promotion they were hoping to secure with additional training.

What kind of classroom dynamic do you promote?
Since the delivery method for all of our courses is online, it is important that the discussions be lively and dynamic.

We try to develop assignments based on real world scenarios that can be applied whether you work in the retail space, healthcare or you are a patient wanting to know more about cannabis as a therapeutic tool.

We encourage our students to be lifelong learners since information on cannabis and related research will continue to evolve quickly.
