Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of modern art!
Explore landscapes, still life, portraits, and abstracts. Discover unique perspectives and shapes. Learn basic techniques, exploring texture, form, contrast, flow, blending, grattage, spatter, laying, two and three-dimensions, geometrics, and negative space. Mixed media will be encouraged and incorporated into sessions.
Learn about luminaries such as Sean Scully, Mark Bradford, Liu Wei, Günther Förg, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Georges Braque, Arshille Gorky, Juan Gris, Willem De Kooning, Jackson Pollack and Georgia O'Keefe.
Create your own contemporary paintings using the techniques and inspiration that you gain in class. Leave with more knowledge, a fresh perspective and your own original paintings!
