Class Overview
Develop the art of spoon carving with an elegant twist! In this hands-on wood carving workshop, learn how to carve a beautifully detailed wooden spoon in the graceful form of a swan.
This project blends both functionality and artistic design, making it ideal for carvers who have basic skills and want to continue to develop.
You’ll start by carving the spoon’s basic shape, then move on to creating the swan’s intricate neck and wings. Advance your basic spoon carving techniques while learning how to bring out the fine details that make this piece a functional work of art. This class offers a fun and rewarding opportunity to expand your carving skills and create something truly unique.
This class is best suited for people with some prior carving experience, as we’ll be working with harder woods.
By the end of the class, take home a fully finished, hand-carved swan spoon that’s perfect for daily use, or as a decorative showpiece.
